IB Credit Policy
New students requesting International Baccalaureate (IB) credit must have an official score report sent to Agnes Scott. You are eligible for a maximum of 32 credits total from AP, IB, joint enrollment and dual enrollment coursework. One course can count for either AP or IB credit but not both. Your adviser will review your score report with you during Orientation.
These are standard credit awards below. Only Higher Level (HL) exams are eligible for IB credit. Your adviser will consult with you regarding any HL IB exam not listed below.
Biology
Score: 5, 6 or 7
Credit hours awarded: 4 (natural science with lab distributional)

Chemistry
Score: 5
Credit hours awarded: 3 (see department chair for lab credit)
Courses that can be exempted: CHE 150
Chemistry
Score: 6 or 7
