Application for Sabbatical LeaveA sabbatical provides full-time members of the teaching faculty the opportunity to pursue research and study programs that contribute to their development in scholarship and teaching beyond what can be accomplished during the summer or during the academic year. Thank you for your application and choosing to submit your proposal and curriculum vitae electronically.

Deadline: September 30

Instructions: Please complete the form in its entirety. You will not be able to save the form and come back to it. We recommend cutting and pasting from a word processing document; however, please note that special formatting will not be retained.

This electronic application precludes the need to submit paper copies of your proposal and curriculum vitae to the chair of the Committee on Professional Development and the Vice president for academic affairs and dean of the college. If you have any questions about the form and/or submission process, please contact the chair of the Committee on Professional Development.

Thank you again for submitting your proposal and curriculum vitae electronically. These portions of the application are complete when you submit this form.

To complete your application, please recall from the Agnes Scott College Handbook that the chair of your department should write a letter to the dean in which the chair discusses the effect of your sabbatical on the curriculum of the department and proposes arrangements to be made for staffing the department should the sabbatical be awarded. You may also ask scholars within your discipline to submit letters dealing specially with the proposed research to the chair of the Committee on Professional Development.
